The kitchen is always a good area for clutter. Other random room options: pantry, dining room, den, study, conservatory, foyer, baths. I think a ballroom could work well, and the game certainly needs a library floor, but maybe you're right that that theme should exist outside of the haunted house theme--a study could look library-esque, though.

I think it would check every time you build a themed floor. I guess some sets might have a natural capstone, like the attic-y mirror room which has pre-reqs that might make it the last room you can buy, but I don't know that it will make sense for all sets to have an order to them, so I don't think I'll plan around giving them capstones.

Okay, I didn't do too much more on these floors after the stream the other day, but here's how they look outside of the game (obviously, they'll be much darker in-game, and also a bit shorter, so we can probably ignore how empty the tops of the rooms are). In addition to getting more opinions on these, I was wondering how you think we should link them to the other rooms, because I haven't decided what the prereqs should be.

Also, I need to get started on the minions themselves. For the poltergeist's, I think it'll probably be a loop of pots, pans, plates, and cutlery flying, maybe around a faint whirling cloud thing; for the champion version, I'll go heavier on the cutlery, I think. For the nightmares, I'm picturing little scampering shadows--more formidable with champions. Just tell me what you're picturing, or link to images or something, and I can whip up a draft. Thanks!

A bit of brainstorming on this was done back at the beginning of the thread. I was thinking of having the Heretics path be one of the prereqs for it, with the other being either the Undead path for the Dinette or the Demon path for the Nursery (poltergeists being angry ghosts and nightmares being dream demons, after all!).

I was thinking the same thing for the poltergeists. A bunch of floating flotsam from the room floating around. It also lends itself to special versions based on other rooms -- a floating collection of weapons if you've got the Stabby Stockpile, for example. I like the idea of scampering shadows for the nightmares, but I also like the idea of something half-formed that floats around and I'm not sure how compatible the two ideas are.
